djokovic crushes rublev to reach australian open After winning in the semifinals over rival Rublev

Novak Djokovic secured his spot in the semi-final for the fourth time at the Australian Open with a commanding 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Andrey Rublev. 

This marks Djokovic's sixth time reaching the semi-final stage at this tournament, putting him in third place for the most semi-final appearances at the Australian Open, behind Roger Federer and Jack Crawford. 

Djokovic's impressive performance in this match also brings him closer to a record-extending fifth Australian Open title and a 22nd Grand Slam title overall.

Djokovic praised his own game, stating that he is very happy with his tennis and that he loves playing in the conditions and on the court at Melbourne Park. 

He also acknowledged Rublev as a strong opponent with a big forehand and quick movements. 

Djokovic had to overcome a left hamstring strain suffered during his title win at Adelaide this month, but he showed few problems against Rublev.

In contrast, Rublev came into the match with a less impressive record, having lost all six of his previous Grand Slam quarterfinal matches. 

He started off the match with a double fault and struggled to find his footing, with Djokovic quickly taking control of the match and breaking Rublev's serve multiple times. 

Rublev tried to make a comeback in the third set but Djokovic's precision and power proved too much for him.

Djokovic will now face Tommy Paul in the semi-final, with the winner moving on to the finals and a chance to claim the title. 

Djokovic's victory in this match is an indication of his strong form and solid performance throughout the tournament, and it puts him in a good position to advance to the finals and potentially claim another Grand Slam title.
