Leeds had many opportunities to score but poor finishing and the impressive performance of Villa's goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, kept them from equalizing.
The visitors also had a goal disallowed due to offside.
Villa stays in 11th place but is now level on points with Chelsea and is close to reaching the top half of the league.
The match saw Villa bounce back from a surprise defeat in the FA Cup to League Two team Stevenage the previous weekend.

Leeds controlled much of the first half but were unable to convert their chances due to poor finishing, good fortune, and Martinez's goalkeeping.

Leeds continued to press in the second half, but Buendia's goal in the second half sealed the victory for Villa.
Despite a late goal from Bamford, it was not enough for Leeds to mount a comeback, and the team's winless streak extended to seven games.
