Croatia is the third in the world to win over Morocco

The 2022 FIFA World Cup continued live on Saturday, with Croatia beating Morocco for third place at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

It's the penultimate game of the 2022 World Cup ahead of Sunday's final between Argentina and France (coverage begins at 9 a.m. ET ).

Morocco had dreamed of reaching the semi-finals, but were just one step away from becoming the first African country to reach the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Croatia quelled skeptics that the team could replicate its 2018 success and showed it could be a multi-year contender Come. Both teams are still approaching Saturday's game, as it was in the World Cup final.

Croatia striker Andriy Kramaric was emotional when he left the field with an injury early in the second half.

Morocco had a great chance to equalize when striker Youssef En-Nesyri tried from close range, but goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic denied it before Croatia took it away from the net.
